RUNNIN’ OFF AT THE MOUTH
“Going in, you have to remember that the race is supposed to be the fun part. The race isn’t to be feared, it’s supposed to be the things we look forward to. It’s why you did all the stinkin’ work in the first place, so have fun.” – Ben Rosario
“As we run, we become.” – Amby Burfoot

RUN REPORT – 10/24/26
4 runners celebrated races from the previous weekend by running Forbidden Drive with us last week: Half Caff (DE Distance Classic 15K), KayCee (Savannah River Half Marathon), Linda B (DE Distance Classic 15K), and Quietman Tom (Atlantic City Marathon). See last week’s Congrats for the deets. Others may have put in recovery mileage, but you have to show at Zen Yanni’s Memorial Bench for us to know!
For runners doing Philly race weekend with variations of 8K and half and full marathons, the mileage is still showing up in the form of Shawmont Avenue ascents. Taper time is nigh! Those who did it and aren’t running race weekend, well, you know crazy Shawmonters…
(See also Bolt Cutter & Tall Dave errata & addendum in last week’s newsletter, 10/17/26.)
Read Themz for those and other numerical deets.
Footnote: Back when Zen Yanni wrote, the narrative around the previous week’s efforts was a regular feature. “Run Report” was the name of the entire publication, then (iCandybyWangC.com).
Thanks for reading. Have a great week.
